Senza Madonna, 2020
Borrowed from old masterpieces of painting, the Senza Madonna series shows the child without the traditional Madonna. We see a child behind a fine veil, reduced entirely to his gestures, in an unusual setting for this depiction: drawn on a handwritten background. Only on closer inspection does the depiction of the sibyls and prophets from Michelangelo´s ceiling fresco become visible on the stamps of the postcards sent from Italy and the Vatican in the 1960s.
